By 2022, Petplan noticed the rise of cheaper, lower-quality alternatives in the pet insurance market. This shift was making their customers more conscious about pricing. The challenge for Petplan, and for us at CHS, was to retain Petplan’s no.1 spot by demonstrating the added value they bring beyond just insurance, especially with a focus on upper funnel consideration campaigns.
We introduced ‘Bitesize Best Care’ on TikTok. Recognising the clutter of pet advice available, our campaign aimed to give clear and trustworthy advice in easily digestible formats. By utilising TikTok’s Spark Ad format, we reached out to new pet parents. Genuine creators shared reliable pet parenting tips, ensuring the content was both authentic and engaging.
The Results?
The campaign resonated well with the audience, achieving 200% more views on TikTok than anticipated. And while we’re always striving to do our best, it was humbling to receive a ‘Highly Commended’ recognition at the Performance Marketing Awards for Best Paid Social Campaign.
